When to visit the Urgent Care Centre

When to visit the Urgent Care Centre

You can visit the Urgent Care Centre (UCC) for conditions that require urgent attention but are not life-threatening.

For example, someone with a painful sprain can visit the UCC for an X-ray to rule out a fracture, instead of visiting the emergency department in a hospital. Someone suffering from mild dehydration due to a gastrointestinal infection may also visit the UCC for an intravenous infusion to improve his condition.

Your visit to the UCC may happen via a referral from a GP clinic. You can also do a walk-in to seek treatment at the UCC.

View common conditions and recommendations on when you should see a GP, visit the UCC or go to the Emergency Department (ED), depending on the severity.

Call NurseFirst at 6262 6262, if you are unsure where to receive care.
