You will use your skills to treat the sick and injured, and offer guidance and psychological support to patients and their families.
Nurses are the hearts and hands of WHC. You will use your skills to not only treat the sick and injured, but also offer guidance, psychological and emotional support to patients and their families. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you will play a leading role in providing compassionate and dignified care to our patients. You also have the opportunity to pass on your specialised knowledge by training caregivers to provide basic care, and educate patients and their families. Choose from several possible career paths in clinical, education and management to realise your full potential.
“The resilience of the human spirit is amazing. Some may think that nursing is a thankless profession but it can be very fulfilling if you know where to look. For example, in the wards, even though patients may be complete strangers, there is a sense of friendship and camaraderie as they encourage each other on their care journeys. I cannot help but be inspired myself.”
- Muhammad Faiz, Senior Staff Nurse
“I conduct home visits in the community and help make sure that they are able to manage their conditions well in the community. I enjoy building relationships with my patients and their families. There’s a great sense of satisfaction when you see that trust grow, and they open up to you about their lives. It’s a great opportunity for me to meet different people in the community. I’m not only helping our community care for themselves but learning from them at the same time.””
- Agnes Wong, Assistant Nurse Clinician
